Ingredients

  • 1 lb steak cut into cubes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp butter optional

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak cubes until browned, then remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, sauté onion and garlic until softened.
  • Sprinkle flour over onions and garlic, then gradually add beef broth, stirring to avoid lumps. Add Worcestershire sauce and simmer until thickened, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Return steak to skillet, simmer for another 5 minutes. Add butter for extra richness if desired.
  • Serve hot over mashed potatoes, rice, or your favorite side.
