Ingredients

  • 12 large button mushrooms stems removed
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs preferably Italian-style
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or extra Parmesan for garnish optional

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  • Prepare the Mushrooms
  • Clean the mushrooms by wiping them gently with a damp cloth. Remove the stems and set them aside. Make sure the mushroom caps are hollow enough to stuff but still sturdy.
  • Prepare the Stuffing Mixture
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir until the mixture is well combined.
