  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped (optional)

Instructions

  • Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. This removes excess starch, ensuring fluffy rice.
  • Toast the Garlic:

  • Cook the Rice:
  • Add the rinsed rice to the saucepan and stir to coat it with the garlic butter. Toast the rice for 1-2 minutes to enhance the flavor.
  • Pour in the broth or water, add salt and pepper, and bring the mixture to a boil.
  • Simmer:
  • Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan with a tight-fitting lid, and let it simmer for 15-18 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
  • Add Butter:
  • Turn off the heat and fluff the rice with a fork. Stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter until fully melted and mixed in.
  • Garnish and Serve:
  • Sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired, and serve warm.
